Last week, Morrgul was proud to attend the Black Coffee event in Bunbury on 21 May, connecting with local businesses, industry leaders and community members from across the South West.

The event was a major success, with a full room, strong energy and plenty of valuable conversations throughout the morning. A highlight was hearing an inspiring presentation from Richmond Tigers premiership hero Marlion Pickett, whose story and message resonated strongly with attendees.

It was fantastic to see so much discussion around Aboriginal employment, procurement pathways, business growth and creating more opportunities for Aboriginal people and businesses across the region. Events like this are an important platform for building relationships, sharing knowledge and strengthening connections among the community, government and industry.

Morrgul also appreciated the opportunity to introduce and discuss the Aboriginal Procurement Advisory Service (APAS) contract and how we can support Aboriginal businesses in the South West in building capability and pursuing tender and procurement opportunities.

A big thank you to Koormal Contracting for the invitation, the Bunbury Geographe Chamber of Commerce and Industry for hosting such a well-run event, and the Bunbury community for the warm welcome and ongoing support.
We look forward to continuing to build relationships and support Aboriginal businesses throughout the region 💪
