Congratulations to Carla Davey for achieving ISO certification for her business, CAD Contractors!

Earlier this month Carla was awarded the ISO 45001:2018 Occupational Health Safety and Management Systems Certificate of Registration. The scope of CAD Contractors’ ISO Certification enables pre-qualification for the provision of safety consultancy, labour, plant and equipment hire to the resources sector.
Carla has taken her small business to the next level with ISO certification. Having CAD Contractors achieve this certification enables the business to prequalify for Tier 1 projects that were previously out of Carla’s reach. Carla believes many small Indigenous businesses should seriously invest in becoming certified to become independent and work on major projects confidently!
Carla established CAD Contractors in August 2018 so that she could work on the Safety of a road construction project close to her heart. Prior to owning her own business, Carla completed over 10 years of Safety, Training & Environment Roles with companies including Fortescue Metal Group, Rio Tinto and BHP Billiton, and NRW Civil & Mining and Ngarda Civil. Carla’s latest achievement shows just how far she has come and what can be achieved with setting goals and having the right support.
Carla said the accreditation process was ‘hard yakka’ and she was grateful to receive moral support and encouragement from Morrgul’s Staff, and for Morrgul linking her up with Compass Assurance Services to undertake the certification process.
“The high point of the accreditation process was learning what my strengths were. I didn’t realise my full potential and what I’m capable of.”
The team at Morrgul is thrilled for Carla and look forward to her paving the way for other Indigenous contracting companies to achieve their ISO Certification. For any future opportunities to undertake the accreditation process, Morrgul will ensure to post updates via our Facebook page.
Well done Carla and CAD Contractors – we can’t wait to see what you do next!
